Why choose a Yellowshed Designs box.
Yellowshed Designs boxes are built by hand in Kidderminster by Colin Harsley.
Made from sustainably sourced 12mm Birch plywood. Each box is built with strong mitre lock joinery to keep both strength and a clean look to the corners. The bases of all boxes are grooved to the relevant gauge with foam fitted to each end of the box to protect your model.
O gauge/ 7mm boxes feature satin chrome plated brass hinges, compression sprung draw latches and a lay flat handle that makes stacking multiple boxes easy. Removeable ends are a great addition to any box, enabling your loco to be rolled out rather than lifted, avoiding the need to touch detail parts and paintwork. (Removeable ends charged at £5 extra per box)

Gauge 1 & 16mm/ 45mm gauge boxes have a lift off lid allowing easy access to your model. Spring loaded compression draw latches, lay flat handle and alignment dowels ensure your model remains secure.
Choosing the right box.
When searching for the right box. Measure the loco over buffer length and add 2 inches/ 50mm. Bespoke length boxes are available and will be priced individually.
